Look, I know what you’re thinking. You saw “Trop” in the headline and your blood pressure started to increase.
You’re thinking “Oh FFS…ANOTHER Tropicana Cookies cross? How many Trop crosses do we need and how can this dude smoke keep smoking them all?”
In this review we explore:
Well, first of all, the Tropicana Cookies strain is a precious gift from the cannabis gods bestowed upon mankind to cherish and chief.
Second, yes, this is indeed another Tropicana Cookies cross review BUT if you’re willing to keep an open mind, here me out a bit on what makes Tropical Infusion unique, then I think I might just be able to make a believer out of you yet.

Why Trop Terps Just Won’t Die
The versatility of these Tangie-heavy terpenes like myrcene, limonene, and linalool allow for fun and exciting breeding opportunities given their fun, fruity, citrus commonalities.
Many choose to cross Tropicana strains with other fruity strains to further enhance the fruitiness. As such, Tropicana genetics provide an amazing backdrop on which to splash other complementary chemotypes.
On top of that, With Tropicana strains you get that extra special terpene nerolidol, which exhibits a uniquely light, tropical, floral scent that is also found in fragrance monsters like jasmine, lavender, and lemongrass plants.
With Tropical Infusion, Skunkhouse Genetics took the abovementioned terpenes in Tropicana Cookies and introduced them to the sweet mellow banana-y traits from Modified Banana (Banana OG x GMO),

The abundant myrcene and limonene found in Modified Bananas harmonizes beautifully with Tropicana Cookies genetics for a slightly more banana-y take on an established modern classic.
It’s exciting to see that banana strains seem to be experiencing something of a revival as of late (at least that’s my perception of what is happening in the Oregon recreational market).
Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a banana strain eventually become a “Leafly Strain of the Year” before too long (maybe the end of 2025 or 2026?).
Banana is such a rad and unique fruit variety with a strong cult following, two big parts of the growth that comes with getting hyped, like I’m doing right now.

What is it that makes banana strains smell banana-y?
Well, the verdict is still out, officially that is.
Like with so many other cannabis compounds we just don’t that know that much about them because archaic federal prohibition laws throttle research.
Some have claimed the banana notes are from an entirely unique banana esters, but we don’t know for sure because we’ve barely scratched the surface of the world of flavonoids, volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs) and esters, comparative to primary terpenes.
Wherever the banana notes come from I don’t care because I’m just excited to find it in this crossed in this Trop Infusion flower.

Cultivating this lovely eighth being reviewed today we have High Noon Cultivation, one of my favorite no-till farms in Oregon and one that I’ve been smoking for years now because they’ve yet to disappoint me.
Appearance: Soft Purple Plushness
The soft lavender hue commonly found in Tropicana strains here is on full display and makes this flower exciting to behold, if you’re a fan of the purps that is.
My shitty pictures don’t do this flower justice, the lavenders are brighter than my clapped out iPhone Xs makes them out to be.

The more purple the better IMO, whether they be deep dark midnight black like those found in strains like Sirius Black or whether they be lighter faded, more mauve-like in color.
When it comes to these here Tropical Infusion buds I’d say they are a bit on the chonkier side, and small-to-medium size.
These are also more filled-out around the waistline compared to most of the Tropicana Cookies strains I get which exhibit slightly longer, thinner, more spread out, spindly traits.

Trichome coverage is complete and while not the heaviest dusting I’ve ever seen still do appear well-intact.
They offer up a smooth silvery shimmer that glistens in the light, promising hints of what’s in store for anyone who may be fortunate enough to lay thy their lungs upon these here flowers.
Overall I’m satisfied with the size of these buds given they were pre-packaged into an eighth sized jar, they’re about as big as you can get while still fighting in the jar without being smushed.
Yes, this was in the top-shelf price range so as long as they’re not tiny popcorns and smell and smoke great then I’m a happy customer.
This batch of Tropical Infusion was harvested just 2-3 months before being reviewed so it’s pretty much perfect when it comes to cure.
This eighth is not as moist as this half ounce of Huckleberry Web 1:2 I’ve been smoking but it’s a completely different chemotype and it grinds and rolls up just fine.
A good cure can make or break even the best bud and I’m relieved to see High Noon did this right, which can’t always be said for some pre-packaged brands.

Smell: Only the Softest of Fruits a Fancy
This is a fluffy marshmallow fruit salad consisting of chunks of slightly over-ripe honeydew melon, red grapes, ripe banana, and then tossed with some kind of creamy cotton candy flavored dressing.
Lemongrass fumes are abundant and impart intense aromatherapeutic effects that make you just want to keep inhaling these terpenes in and endless cycle.
Banana notes make their way into your consciousness at the end, providing a supple and supple finish of caramelized banana and fortune cookie that lingers on the nose, much to my big-nosed delight.
This stuff is sweet, like in an artificially-flavored. mass-produced candy way. It smells like if you bought a box of Runtz candy but the whole box was filled with JUST strawberry hearts and bananas.
Candy strain haters may say this is a little one-dimensional as there’s none of that deep rich Gelato nor any of that nose-wrinkling GMO. It’s not mega gas nor does it deep and dank the way kushes are.
But I like it. It smells great and smokes smoothly.
I found myself cracking the top and sniffing this over and over. I couldn’t put it down, it smells that good.

There is something to say about focusing on one thing and doing that thing exceptionally well, and candy trop notes is what Tropical Infusion excels most at.
This amazing plant is doing its own slightly softer, slightly more mellowed rendition on those beautiful Tropicana Cookie genetics and it’s doing it well.
It’s like an acoustic remake of song you’ve long loved, just a little more chiller, a little more softer on the ears. A little more emotional.
If you are just plain sick of Tropicana terps then hey, I’m not going to recommend this to you and you probably haven’t bothered to read this far down in the review anyways.
For those of you like me who can’t get enough of le Trop then thank you for sticking with me here! I definitely recommend you pick some of this up if you find it fresh.
I’d recommend Trop Infusion to Team Tangie as well since you’re still getting plenty of those Tangie-esque soft citrus and lemongrass notes throughout the experience.
I’m wholly convinced that the terpene profile expressed by Tropical Infusion could easily be bottled and sold as a luxury good in an airport, no doubt.
Sensation: Trops Just Wana Have Fun
Tropicana Cookies is a very fun, bright, sparkly kind of high for me that’s just as much about the smell and flavor as it is the sensation.
The Banana OG (and GMO genetics) from the Modified Banana side bring even more chill to the party so it’s now a complete chillstravaganza.
Sampling this Trop Infusion makes me really want to try some really good Banana OG too.
Banana strains are on the up and coming, the hot new flavor on the block. We’re all going to be seeing a lot more Banana strains in coming years, of that I’m sure.
The overall output of the Tropicana Cookies razzle dazzle and the Modified Bananas relaxing effects is a groovy house music kind of energy that lends itself well to jiving under the glow of soft lamp light.
As the name elicits, this strain would be a PERFECT companion to a casual beachside smoke sesh, either solo or with a group of friends.
Blazing up various strains along Oregon’s coast have been some of the most memorable moments of my life here, with the cannabis merely applying another beautiful lens through which to take in the beauty of the coastline.
This would also be a good pool high. Pack up the PAX and head down to the pool, whether that be in your backyard or on the top corner deck at Circa, Trop Infusions breezy island nature has got your back.
The fruity characteristics lend themselves well as a breakfast accompaniment, either with your wake and bake partner or for a solo sesh before hitting up the local farmers market. You won’t geek and have a grin the whole time.
My container is showing 30.3% THC and 0.1% CBD if you care about that. Even if the testing numbers are accurate I can’t particularly say this is a super intense high. Definitely not a scary experience like a 30%+ strain might lead one to believe.
Tropical Infusion is light, cheerful and sparkly, yet measured and functional in its intensity.

When I say functional I mean you can do normal daily activities. Typing out this review has been a breeze. Cooking meals has been enjoyable. Re-watching Severance season one has been a thrill.
I can hold a conversation and keep my eyes open. I can maintain my train of thought. I can be productive. You get the point, it’s a versatile smoke.
For these reasons I consider Tropical Infusion to be a nice undercover kind of high. It smells more like perfume than roadkill or skunk and it’s light enough in effect that you won’t look like you just got pepper sprayed in the eyes after smoking it.

Summary: Extra Mellow Tropicana
High Noon Cultivation is doing great things. They’ve got great taste when it comes to flavors and they seem to run their business as it seems they’re officially multi-state at this point, so you might be able to find this exact herb on your dispo shelves as well.
If you’re interested in learning more about High Noon’s work check my Stuffed Cherry Gelato and Trop Cherry Fritter reviews as well.
If it’s more of those delicious Tangie/Tropicana terps you seek then check out my Super Boof (Black Cherry Punch x Tropicana Cookies) and Honeymoon Crasher (Wedding Crasher x Tropicana Cookies) reviews for that satisfaction.
If you are partial to just Tangie then check out this Trop Fire Breath (Secret Tang Breath x Coolie High) review because it was one of the Tangiest strains I’ve enjoyed in recent memory.
On the whole I really enjoyed my time with this eighth of Tropical Infusion. I hope it sticks around as I think it brings a super enjoyable yet casual profile to the market that’s instantly likeable, like a warm tropical breeze.
Personally, this could easily be a “daily driver” strain for me. Something I would be happy to light up any time of day and pretty much any type of event.
But what do you think? Sick of Tropicana crosses or will you be sniffing this out? Or have you already smoked it?
