Even’s Creek Farms is one of The Hallowed Gram’s favorite Oregon cultivators.
Evans Creek Farms sits in the shadow of Mt. Hood in Oregon, and the terroir shows in how they approach their craft. Rather than leaning on synthetic inputs or heavy fertilizer programs, the farm builds its foundation from the ground up (literally), hand-mixing living soil enriched with earthworm castings and finishing with compost and biochar topdressings as plants move into flower.
The philosophy is restraint: let a thriving microbial ecosystem do the heavy lifting, and the plant responds in kind. Teas replaced traditional amendments over time, trimming inputs down to the bare minimum while consistently improving the quality of the finished flower.
Canopies run under a mixed lighting setup of HPS, metal halide, and LED, and the farm has held Clean Green certification, Oregon’s closest equivalent to organic.
Their genetics library is relatively lean by design, built around a core of cultivars that have earned genuine followings: Nepalese Kush, Carbon Fiber, Grandpa’s Gun Chest, MAC 1, and Toad Venom, the latter of which has developed into one of the most talked-about cultivars in the Pacific Northwest.
New genetics get added only when the grow room and the results justify it, including a GMO collaboration with Archive Genetics that proved so popular it became an annual limited release.
