I'm glad to know I'm not alone, but also bummed that these issues seem pervasive because I agree: when it works, it's an awesome bong. The design is on point, but I think the execution needs work. The threading is too sharp and narrow, and if a looser thread doesn't guarantee an airtight seal, then just provide an O-ring. Same for the inventory issues; it's not hard to track and re-order/re-run production when you hit a low-quantity trigger threshold. Really want to see them succeed, especially as a Portland company, but for that to happen, they really need to take a long look in the mirror and decide whether they want this brand to be a flash in the pan or grow into a staple player in the waterpipe space. Because at this rate, with the defects, poor customer service, and unavailability of parts, they aren't long for this world.

Might not be your cup of tea but I've had better luck with my Honest Capsule pipe. I bought it originally to pair better with my ball vape and I think the overall construction and customer service both exceed Heir's.

Thanks for sharing your perspective, it's first-hand feedback like this that I want to share on this blog to help other plant lovers make informed decisions because lord knows these things ain't cheap!

Ive been using this waterpipe for about 5 years now. Ive basically replaced every part except the bowl. Just like you, Ive had the issue with the neck breaking and have replaced the water chamber 3 times now. Its a great water pipe... when it works. Customer service started out good and slowly got worse with each incident. What blows me away is that they no longer have the water chamber replacement parts. I was lucky enough to get the 11" because they didnt have the 13" in stock. But that required me to buy a smaller downstem. Now they have nothing in either size of color and I have come to find out that they have been out of stock of the 13" chamber for over a year now. How stupid is that? You can buy the entire water pipe, but they dont have any replacements. Really sucks as this was my pipe of choice. Even over my $600 Studenglas.
